POLL: Most Dangerous Intersection in New Hyde Park
Which intersection is most dangerous and how can it be made more safe?
Many of you may remember the 46-year-old Garden City Park man who was killed crossing Jericho Turnpike in December.
Back in July five cars were involved in an accident that left two people being treated for minor injuries on Jericho Turnpike near the corner of North 12th Street
In mid-August there were two accidents diagonal to each other at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Nassau Boulevard in Garden City Park.
What do you think is the most dangerous street or intersection in the New Hyde Park area and how do you think it can be made safer?
Tell us in the comments.

I would say Denton and Hillside. I live by there and it is awful. Trying to cross the street is awful. My Aunt is 81 and she won't cross there.

Many intersections are not pedestrian friendly, even with crossing signals. They don't operate the same way the ones in manhattan operate. Around here pedestrians are on their own , there's never a walk signal. When I get off the train I cross Jericho at NHP, and there's always some goon darting to make a light , when I have the right of way. Face it, suburbs are not meant for walkers , no matter which neighborhood you are in.

The intersection where New Hyde Park Road and Clnch branch off just south of the railroad tracks. It's even MORE dangerous when heading northbound from Clinch to NHP Road!!! What were they thinking? I wish I had a good suggestion for making it safer!!

I think the huge intersection at Marcus Avenue/New Hyde Park Road/Union Turnpike at Clinton G. Martin Park is THE worst
