Special Education Teacher Colleen Butt has been selected as the Citizen Bank citizen of the week for the week of June 20.
Butt was nominated by the Family and Children's Association of Island because of the volunteer work that she and her students provide for the organization. For the past eight years, Butt and the students from the DLC program at New Hyde Park High volunteered at the organization as part of a job training program.
