The Hillside Public Library has an ongoing Food Drive for Island Harvest. In view of the devastating effects of last week's Hurricane Sandy, many people are still without electric and their food supply is compromised. We are requesting donations of non-perishable foods, especially those that are protein, such as: tuna, chili, peanut butter, etc. Baby formula, both soy and milk based, are needed. We look to the generosity of our community members to help those in need, and we thank you. Also, the library has tried to be as accommodating as possible to our residents during this time. People have visited to charge their electronics, use our computers, just to be warm and enjoyed a hot cup of tea or coffee.
