The Aquatic Activity Center at has announced its prices for the 2011 year. After the pool's remodeling was completed toward the end of 2010, there was no fee for the rest of that year.
For families -- which the Town in this case defines as a husband, wife and children who live in the same house -- they can pay $220 for four months or $522 for 12 months, according to a Town of North Hempstead pamphlet. Couples who live in the same house can pay $184 for four months or $450 for a whole year. A person who wants their own membership between the ages of 18 and 59 can get a four-month membership for $155 or a year-long one for $326. Seniors 60-years-old and older can get a membership for $81 for four months and $166 for a whole year. That same pricing applies for disabled people as well.
There is a $15 charge for lost pool passes, the pamphlet noted.
For those who just want to come to the pool for a day, adults between the ages of 18 and 59 pay $11 with proof of residency, teens 13-years-old to 17-years-old pay $8, children three-years-old through 12-years-old pay $7 and seniors and disabled people pay $6, the pamphlet said. Guests have to be accompanied by a Town of North Hempstead resident and pay $14.
Parties held at the facility are $200 for two hours and 15 children with a $10 charge for each additional child, the pamphlet noted.
There are three pool sessions: winter, summer and fall. The winter session goes from Jan. 25 to May 1, summer is from May 2 to Aug. 31 and fall is from Sept. 1 through Dec. 31, according to the pamphlet.
