City Community Church would like to invite everyone to its Rally Day this
Sunday, September 15th. The event marks the start of the Church School year,
with the theme of "Come and See What God is Doing." After the
service, the picnic will take place with games and good food.
"Rally Day is always an exciting day because we get to greet all the people we have been preparing for. The church has been cleaned from the floors to the chandeliers. Over the summer we have had several new families visit. Taking the popular song from Vacation Bible School, 'God Welcomes Everyone.' We hope our hospitality generates the excitement and energy we are feeling," the Reverend Lynn Sullivan remarked.
The Garden City Community Church is located at the corner of Stewart Avenue and Whitehall Boulevard. It is an “Open & Affirming” congregation of the United Church of Christ (Protestant), so no matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey all are welcome. On Sundays the GCCC has 8:30 am Communion in the Chapel and 10:30 am worship in the Sanctuary. The Forum is held at 9:15 am. Church Sunday School is held during the regular service, with babysitting in the Crib Room for children under two years old, equipped with silent pagers for parents. The Garden City Community Church is handicap accessible with ramps on the Whitehall Boulevard side of the church and a full elevator to the lower level.
