Train Safety Program Chugs into Little Sprouts Preschool

An annual visit from police officer John Matarazzo of the MTA/LIRR taught the preschoolers at Little Sprouts in New Hyde Park how to be safe near train tracks and crossings. The children learned via presentation cards, a Q&A session and a lighthearted video how to avoid the dangers associated with rail travel and tracks. Students also took home a coloring and puzzle book highlighting safety tips. Little Sprouts Preschool is a ministry of Christ Lutheran Church.
