Autumn officially arrived in Long Beach on Sunday. Patch took to the boardwalk on sunny Tuesday morning and captured scenes of workers continuing to construct the new hardwood walkway, as well as surfers trying to catch some waves and anglers looking to catch a few fish.

I stand with the residents of Carle Place and Anthony Bulzomi, candidate for Town Council, who are trying to refurbish Charles J. Fuschillo Park. The is one of the parks that the Town of North Hempstead forgot. And one of the reasons why I think we need a change in North Hempstead government.

It was great to see so many of the young people from our communities come out to support Helen's Walk on Sunday at the Sands Point Preserve.  They walked along with some of the students from the Helen Keller Center for the hearing/sight impaired.

Alarming numbers of high school seniors try extremebinge drinking–consuming as many as 10 or 15 alcoholic drinks in one sitting, according to a research recently published in JAMA Pediatrics.
