Christ Lutheran Carnival Offers Chance to Dunk Pastor

One of the most popular things at this first annual carnival was the dunk tank.

Preschoolers as well as their friends and parents took in food and fun on a warm Saturday at the first annual carnival.

There was a large, blow-up slide and a bouncy house as well as one of the most popular attractions, a dunking booth featuring Pastor Robert Cederstrom. There was minimal cost to the patrons, such as $1 for a hamburger.

The church would like to make this an annual occurrence with a second fair in the fall. Director of Community Outreach Angela Tigner said about three months ago someone came up with the idea for a carnival and planning began six weeks ago.

"For the first time out, this was a good event," Cederstrom said. "We wanted to reach out to the commmunity. We got a good turnout of volunteers."

The had a truck at the carnival and Send in the Clowns donated $3,000 worth of materials, Cederstrom said.
