Where/When: ; Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Head to Clinton G. Martin Park and enjoy a free outdoor concert with The Cab Calloway Orchestra, performing Big Band Swing music from the 1930's and 1940's.


Where/When: Great Neck Arts Center; Daily, times vary. Why Go: Kids can enjoy wonderful summer art programs now through August 13.

Where/When: Nassau County Museum of Art; Saturday, 3 p.m.
Why Go: Paul Roth, executive director of the Richard Avedon Foundation, discusses how Richard Avedon changed the face of fashion photography. Pricing: Reservations are required. Admission is $20 (museum members, $10) and includes admission to the museum. On weekends there is a $2 parking fee (members, free).


Where/When: ; Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Why Go: Spend some time with your family and other families in the commuity. Enjoy fun games, Pizza and cold drinks. Pricing: The cost is $3 per person. Advance reservation is appreciated.
