Roland Guercia presented with $7,500 at the 22nd Annual Gladiator Fund Golf Outing.

At the 22nd Annual Gladiator Fund Golf Outing, the Gladiator Fund raised $7,500 for Roland Guercia, who was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Over 150 of Guercia’s friends, family and alumni of New Hyde Park Memorial High School attended the golf outing at Clearview Golf Course and the Barbeque at the New Hyde Park Inn.

Gladiator Fund Chairman Dan Connor said this was the largest turn out for a golf outing on over 10 years.

It was standing room only during the presentation of the $6,000 gift to Guercia. Earlier this year, Connor attended a New Hyde Park girls’ lacrosse game and presented Guercia’s daughter Alexa with a check for $1,500.

In attendance at the Golf Outing Dinner were Guercia’s wife Maria and his 2 children, Alexa and Jake.
