Hillside Public Library Board Adopts Budget
Board reorganizes and adopts budget for fiscal year 2011-12.
The board of trustees voted to adopt the 2011-12 budget on Monday evening at their meeting. The budget of $2,834,925 passed by a vote of in May.
The budget is up 1.98 percent from last year's. Some of the most sizable increase in the budgets came in the . Salaries for the approximately 35 employees went up $21,100 to $1,076,100; health insurance went up $5,000 and Social Security went up $6,040.
Before voting to adopt the budget, the board entered a reorganization session that saw no changes to the current structure of the board. The board voted to appoint Lori Carrick as Treasurer of the Hillside Public Library.
