Hillside Public Library Notebook: Sept. 22

Here are some highlights of the meeting.

If you missed the board of trustees meeting on Thursday, here are the highlights:

  • The meeting was originally scheduled for Sept. 15 but was moved to Sept. 22.
  • During Charlene Noll's directors report, she said that the charge for out of district members will increase from $215 to a minimum of $355. These costs are representative of the average taxes applied to the library in our district.
  • The library newsletter will be released by the end of the week.
  • After Columbus Day, Sunday hours will start up again. The board discussed that a lack of usage, as well as being open all day Saturday prior to Columbus Day, is the reason there are not Sunday hours.
  • On Sept. 30, the Friends of Hillside Public Library are hosting a movie screening of "Julie & Julia" starting between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
