The church's organizations banded together for this function.

Though this was 's first year having a yard sale, the endeavor became quickly popular; so much so that the event was extended from being solely on Saturday to also being held on Sunday.

Co-organizer Theresa DiCocco said that people who were dropping off donations a few days before the sale began starting purchasing items; $1,045 was raised before the official yard sale even started.

Many groups such as the ministry of consolation, the rosary altar society and the eucharistic ministers, to name a few, came out to help organize the donations and help sell them. The sale included a wide variety of items included television sets for $5.
