Lotto Winners in New Hyde Park, Garden City Park

The New York Lottery announced Monday that residents from New Hyde Park and Garden City Park had claimed prizes from one of the Lottery's live drawings between April 1-7.

Alicia Ezat of New Hyde Park who won $25,000 on the Win 4 drawing of March 19. Ezat's winning ticket was purchased at the Easy Ii Deli at 53-33 69th St in Maspeth. 

The lotto game has two drawings daily. There were 407 winners in the March 19 mid-day drawing and 699 in the evening results. Winners shared $326,200 in prizes in the mid-day drawing and $377,127 as part of the evening drawing.

In order to win the $25,000 prize, Ezat bet $5 on a straight play, getting all four numbers correct in the exact order. The odds of receiving the payout was 10,000 to 1.

Tom Spantopanagos of Garden City Park won $10,000 on the Powerball drawing of March 28. Spantopanagos's winning ticket was purchased at the New Food at 3367 Hillside Ave in New Hyde Park.

There were three winners from New York State in the Powerball drawing, with recipients having to match four of the 5 numbers plus the Powerball in order to claim the prize. The odds of winning the third place prize is one in 648,976.
