Goldie Steinberg is one of the oldest people in the world and has lived most of her years past her centennial in Long Beach.

A long-term resident of the Grandell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on West Broadway, Steinberg celebrated her 113th birthday Oct. 30, officially making her as the 14th oldest person in the world, the ninth oldest in the United States and the second oldest in New York, according to the California-based Gerontology Research Group. Read the full story here.
