New Hyde Park 2012 Memorial Day Parade Routes

The annual New Hyde Park Memorial Day (Observance) Parade will take place on Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m.

Hosted by the VFW and American Legion, the Parade will march from Hillside Boulevard south to Jericho Turnpike before turning east and stopping at for a short ceremony.

The parade will then carry on to New Hyde Park Road and head north to Lincoln Avenue and turn west to Memorial Park for a tribute ceremony of remembrance.

The village asks as many residents to please attend and show honor to the men and women who made the supreme sacrifice in defense of the United States of America in order to preserve our freedom.

Garden City Park will be holding their parade on Monday, May 28 on Denton Avenue and Jericho Turnpike at 9 a.m. Sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 120, the parade will head east on Jericho Turnpike before turning north on Nassau Boulevard and then west on Fourth Street toward the on Central Avenue before continuing toward the VFW headquarters on Jericho Turnpike.

The New Hyde Park Patch will be putting up a photo gallery of the Parade for Memorial Day and will be placing a separate contribution article for our readers to upload their own photos and share them with the community!
