New Hyde Park Resident Wins $50,000 in Lottery

Alicia Ezat is $50,000 richer.

The New York Lottery announced on Monday that the New Hyde Park resident had won a $50,000 prize playing the Win 4 game on March 19.

Ezat purchased the winning ticket at the Easy Ii Deli at 53-33 69th St in Maspeth.

The lotto game has two drawings daily. There were 407 winners in the March 19 mid-day drawing and 699 in the evening results. Winners shared $326,200 in prizes in the mid-day drawing and $377,127 as part of the evening drawing.

In order to win the $50,000 prize, Ezat bet $10 on a straight play, getting all four numbers correct. The odds of receiving the payout was 10,000 to 1.
