After a long, hard week at work you deserve some fun. Concerts, contests and entertainment, we’ve got you covered when it comes to nightlife in the village. Let us be your guide to all the fun in town for all the hottest spots to check out this weekend in New Hyde Park. Every Friday, we’ll be running down the hottest spots in New Hyde Park to plan your weekend.

Concerts

The band, “White Chocolate” will be at the Walk Street Tavern on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. They provide party and dance music for every generation. On Saturday night, “New York Connection” will play on the outside deck at 6:30 p.m. Sal Vivo All Star Karaoke will begin at 10 p.m.

While on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman springs into action to save his child and protect the president from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders in “White House Down.”

Uptight FBI special agent Sarah Ashburn is paired with testy Boston cop Shannon Mullins in order to take down a ruthless drug lord. The hitch: neither woman has ever had a partner – or a friend for that matter – in “The Heat.”
