Details:  The goal of The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is to give comfort and shelter to families experiencing the pain of having a sick family member in local hospital facilities.

Details:  The Long Island Advocacy Center, Inc. is a private not-for-profit agency dedicated to protecting the legal rights of students and people with disabilities.

Details:  This not-for-profit organization currently cares for more than 500 children and their families at its five centers in Nassau County, offering a wide range of programs for infants through school age children, including before and after school care, holidays and a summer camp programs.

Details: The Alzheimer's Day Program has been helping seniors with Alzheimer's disease and dementia for almost 24 years. The group also provides services for the caretakers of those with these diseases.  The program helps to offset the effects of dementia and Alzheimer's disease with memory skills and socialization.
