Bottlerockets, Roman Candles and silver salutes light up the sky.
The night sky was lit up over Friday night as the nearby Village of Mineola held its annual fireworks spectacular.
Over 200 residents crammed into the lawn area of the park and across the street at the before sunset to listen to the sounds of the Nassau Pops Orchestra perform classical tunes ranging from popular TV medleys to stage scores.
Just after 9:30 p.m. following the finale of “God Bless America,” members of the helped set off the 30 minute fireworks display from the adjacent field.
