Temple Tikvah Hosts Children’s Workshop for “Birthday of Trees”

Jewish students help celebrate holiday of Tu B'Shevat.

Dozens of PJ Library families participated in a free Tu B’Shevat program offered recently by Early Childhood Programming at of New Hyde Park.

The children – along with their parents and grandparents – celebrated the minor Jewish holiday that honors the “Birthday of the Trees” by decorating friendship trees and mini cupcakes with Rabbi Sheinberg.

The group also sang a number of songs with the rabbi and Cantor Bonne before participating in story time that featured a PJ Library book that discussed the importance of trees.
