Umberto’s Owner Gives $15K to Giants Charity on 70th Birthday

Umberto Corteo donates money to NY Giants player Justin Tuck's charity.

Umberto Corteo has a deep relationship with the New York Giants, about as deep as the players have with the New Hyde Park-based pizzeria that bears his name.

Big Blue player Justin Tuck has been a staple at the pizzeria, both because of consuming its pizzas after games on the way to winning Super Bowl XLVI and celebrating afterwards.

The two-time Super Bowl champion returned once again to New Hyde Park on Tuesday to accept a $15,000 donation from Corteo at his 70th birthday party to his charity, R.U.S.H. for Literacy, which encourages children in selected schools in New York, New Jersey and Tuck’s home state of Alabama to read, understand, succeed and hope.
