Gala Fundraiser – THE PERFECT IMAGE – The 2011 Museum Ball

This major annual benefit is the most glamorous evening in the museum’s calendar. It is held this year at the fabulous Oheka Castle. The 2011 Museum Ball is chaired by Angela Susan Anton and Kandice Seitz. The Journal chairs are Dr. Stephen J. Cuchel and Craig Seitz. The 2011 Museum Ball is called The Perfect Image to complement Richard Avedon: Photographer of Influence, the major exhibition on view at the museum from May 21 through September 4. To highlight the association with this legendary fashion and portrait photographer, the Ball will feature models from Nassau Community College dressed in vintage clothing of the decades in which Avedon was active.
