Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation Funds “From the Ground Up” Project

Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation has awarded a $5,000 Toolbox for Education grant to New Hyde Park Memorial High School in New Hyde Park for renovation of their school interior courtyard and construction of an outdoor art studio and sculpture garden. New Hyde Park Memorial High School is one of more than 480 schools or parent organizations to be awarded a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant for parent-initiated school improvement projects benefiting K-12 public education across the United States during the 2011-2012 school year.

The project is scheduled to be completed during fall 2011 and spring 2012.  On Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 10 am - 4 pm, dozens of students, teachers, administrators, parents, and families will roll their sleeves up to complete this amazing project.
