Summer Arts Camps and Children's Programs at the Great Neck Arts Center

Star Search
(July 6-July 9) Take an imaginative journey to outer space and learn about the atmosphere, planets, stars and solar system. Illustrate and design life on another planet, create your own space alien or design your own spaceship.


Art Around the World
(July 12-July 16) Take a trip around the world and visit a new country each day. Students will learn about various cultures and art history.


Cartoons, Comics & Characters
(July 19-July 23) Learn how to draw your favorite cartoon characters. Students will develop drawing and visualization techniques, storytelling skills and study the creative process of developing cartoons from ink to color and then to the big screen.

Once Upon a Time
(July 26-July 30) Students will study and discuss the elements of fairy tales, fables and children’s stories. Learn about book writing, bookbinding and illustration.

It’s a Zoo Out There
(Aug. 2-Aug. 6) Taking an imaginary trip to the zoo and learn about different animals and their unique habitats. Students will study amphibians, birds, fish, mammals and reptiles. Create animal art, learn improvisation skills and perform your favorite animal tales and stories.

Going Green
(Aug. 9-Aug. 13) Help save the planet and create beautiful artworks too. Students will go green and create and explore the arts while learning about the Earth and recycling materials.

Tuition
6 weeks: $2,000/Member: $1,800; 2-6 weeks: $375 per week/Member: $325 per week; 1 week at a time (Choose Your Week) Tuition: $400 per week/Member: $350 per week.
