The Long Island Senior Pops Orchestra

The Long Island Senior Pops Orchestra, joined by the Herricks High School Chamber Orchestra, will present a concert of light classics and orchestral pops music on Sunday, November 6 at 3 PM at the Herricks Community Center.  The Senior Pops Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Michael Smith, was founded in 1979 and includes amateur musicians from throughout Long Island.  The Herricks High School Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Robin Maddox, has been recognized as one of the finest high school orchestras in New York State, always receiving highest ratings at NYSSMA and other ensemble festivals.

Selections will include music from Phantom of the Opera, Hello Dolly, Somewhere In Time, Kiss Me Kate, and many more orchestral favorites.  The concert is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.  For more information visit the LI Senior Pops website at www.seniorpops.org , or call the Herricks Music Office at 516-305-8714.
