Jake Glickman plays Older Patrick in Herricks Community Center production of "Mame."

Schreiber High School graduate Jake Glickman plays “Older Patrick” in the Herricks production of “Mame” at the Herricks Community Center in New Hyde Park.

Patch caught up with Glickman, who now lives in Manhattan, to learn about his role in Mame and other productions.

Patch: What can audiences expect from the show?

Jake Glickman: Audiences can expect a journey through the eyes of a young man and his influential and eccentric Auntie Mame as they try to find love and family through a crazy world of loss, trying relationships and heartache. Accompanied by a soaring score and impeccable performances by a talented ensemble, this show is sure to find a place in everyone's heart.

Patch: What other shows have you performed in?

JG: I've been in many musical productions since high school including "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Once on this Island," "Damn Yankees," "Lucky Stiff," "Midsummer Nights Dream," "Starmites," "Suessical the Musical," "Once Upon a Mattress," "Into the Woods," "Parade" and most recently "Love Letters."

Patch: What are your plans for after the show?

JG: After "Mame" I will continue to write children's music for the Port Washington Library program "Tween Night" as well as arranging pop music for a pre-teen a capella group. I am also in a band that will be performing in New York City at the end of May.
