VIDEO: Customers, Employees Prepare for Final Days at Colony Collectibles

After 30-plus years, New Hyde Park store is closing after not reaching an agreement on its lease.

was a two floor store that sold everything from jewelry to cards to ornaments. Now, the store hardly resembles its old, successful self, as many shelves are barren and the basement floor is now completely empty of any merchandise.

The store is set to close early this week as owner David Lee and the landlord could not come to an agreement on a new lease.

, currently located next door, is now set to take over the storefront and expand their business.

Attempts to contact the landlord were unsuccessful. Iavarone Brothers did not return phone calls requesting comment.
