Deluxe Car Storage Revs Into New Hyde Park

New Hyde Park has several places where you can store your belongings, various businesses renting out lockers of numerous sizes for your household wares that have taken up your garage. But when the garage becomes your personal storage space, where exactly do you store your car, especially one that you wouldn’t trust to just the routine parking structure?

That’s where Deluxe Car Storage comes in, as the New Hyde Park-based business celebrated their grand opening on Oct. 10.

The business is the first of it’s kind on Long Island when it comes to car storage and maintenance for classic, custom and luxury vehicles. Not only are vehicles stored in a state-of-the-art climate-controlled storage facility, but the company also can help do you car inspection, have detailing done, get your car cleaned and more.

Deluxe Car Storage, a division of Storage Deluxe, a self-storage provider in New York, has been open since January and already has m different and luxurious cars in their facility. James Machinist, the manager of businesses development, stated that the market for vintage cars has grown since the vehicles have increased in value so much in the last three years.

“Our job is to act as your concierge for you car,” Machinist said, noting how as the housing market declined, investors have moved their money elsewhere, one of which being cars, with many interested in storage options. 

Though this is the first Deluxe Car Storage location, they are planning to open 26 locations in various places throughout the United Sates, including different type of storage from cars, such as art storage.

The facility offers three various options for vehicle storage: either in the high-security main facility or – for most exclusive memberships – stored in a private garage that offers a separate entrance, individual security and 24/7 access. Aside from where you chose to store your car, customers can opt for car detailing and washes from their own preferred vendors, car service, upgrades and have the vehicle transport wherever you need access, all using vendors with which they already have a relationship.

The location also has a lounge where members are encouraged to relax with other car enthusiasts and watch auto-racing, auctions and other events on the large TV screen. 

New Hyde Park Mayor Robert Lofaro was among those excited for the high-end facility to come to the village, believing the location perfect due to its close proximity from the train station and benefit to the village at large.

“There was no begging necessary for me to come to this event and support Deluxe Car Storage,” he said. “I think it will be a great addition to the community.”
