New Hyde Park Resident Enjoys Take Your Child to Work Day

New Hyde Park resident Samantha Coker recently celebrated National Take Your Child to Work Day in style. The eight-year-old  spent the day at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, which assembled a day filled with learning, fun activities, and floral arranging class.

Like other parents who work at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Samantha joined by a total of 30 other children, and got a feel for what their moms and dads do at the company's corporate headquarters in Carle Place. 

Samantha, pictured in a red dress to the far right below, enjoyed arts and crafts, a floral arranging class, a pizza lunch, and learned about the company's use of today's technology, retail marketing, and more. The children also learned about the company's philanthropic program, Summer of A Million Smiles, and were encouraged to think about ways they could benefit their local communities and towns to make them a better place.
