State Farm Moving 93 Jobs From New Hyde Park

Insurer consolidating some operations.

About 93 jobs will be leaving New Hyde Park as State Farm consolidates some of its operations, Long Island Business News has reported.

The newspaper said the insurer is sending about 200 Long Island jobs to either Ballston Spa, north of Albany, or to an office in Pennsylvania. Of the total, 110 of them will come from its Melville office, which it is closing. A few of those Melville jobs will be relocated to New Hyde Park.

State Farm’s 123 agent offices in the New York City area, including Long Island, won't be affected.
