Thursday is Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven
Slurpees nearly double in size for annual '7-Eleven Day.'

Thursday is July 11.
Why should you care? Well, July 11 is the annual "7-Eleven Day" and customers of the national convenience store can pick up a free Slurpee from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all stores.
7-Elevens can be found in New Hyde Park at 2090 Hillside Ave., at the corner of Union Turnpike and Lakeville Road and at 159 Atlantic Ave., in Garden City Park.
This year, however, the Slurpees will actually be bigger than in the past.
USA Today reported that the normal 7.11-ounce Slurpees are being replaced with 12-ounce Slurpees because there's less of a mess with the larger cups, which come with lids.
