Vacant Card Store on Hillside Avenue [POLL]

What would like to see replace the empty former card store at 1642 Hillside Ave.?

Walk down Jericho Turnpike or Hillside Avenue these days and you will notice many desolate store fronts adorned with “For Rent” or “Available” signs, an indication of the hard times the area — and country — are facing.

Today we are featuring the former card store, located at 1642 Hillside Ave. on the strip near . The 800 sq. ft. store comes with a rental fee of $2,600 per month.

The card store has been vacant for a couple of years and while there has been interest in the storefront, no one has yet committed to a lease.

Real estate broker Howard Newman said the space is ideal for a retail establishment or dry-use such as a liquor store.
