Dec. 15: Year in Review Series

We are doing a couple of new things on Patch lately. Here's what you need to know:

1. The  is compiling a list of 10 local people who mattered in 2011 and we need your help! Nominate candidates in the comment section below or write it in on our Facebook page. The list will run the last week in December as part of our  series.

2. You may have also noticed another new button we have on the Site called “Gallery.” The New Hyde Park Patch wants to gather as many photos and videos as possible from the people in our community. Whether it is a sporting or school event, dance recital or award and anything else — we want to feature it on the Site! 

3. We will no longer be running Cheapest Gas Prices on Sunday’s, but don’t fret! Take a look at the new button we have on the Site called “Traffic & Gas.” This will provide you with a live traffic map and the latest gas prices every day of the week.

4. Be sure to check back with Patch later for a list of worship services to attend this holiday season, as well as a list of the best places to cater your holiday party.
