Dec. 5: Visiting Santa and Elections

I know, you are probably experiencing a bad case of the Mondays, but we here at Patch hope that you had a nice, relaxing weekend and are ready to power through the work week.

Here’s what you need to know today:

New Hyde Park’s weather, courtesty of weather.com is expected to be chilly in the morning, but will get warmer by noon with a temperature of 56 degrees. Your favorite fall jacket is a must today!

Both the Manhasset-Lakeville and New Hyde Park Fire/Water District elections are on Dec. 13 from 1-9 p.m. We will be featuring “Meet the Candidates” stories this week with more details so you know exactly who you’re voting for and will hopefully help you make an informed decision.

The Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church is having a tonight at 7 p.m. at the Inn at New Hyde Park. There is no cost to attend the event.  

You can visit and his reindeer at Hicks Nurseries in Westbury, NY any day this week--for free! Bring your child, cousin, niece or nephew any time between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., and don’t forget your camera!
