Dec. 7: Pearl Harbor Day and GCP Water District Meeting

Here are some of the events going on in New Hyde Park.

Here’s what you need to know today:

1. Today marks the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor when Japan launched a massive air attack on the U.S. Navy. Think you know the most about World War II history? Test your knowledge in our Pearl Harbor quiz, which will be featured on the site around noon!

2. Your daily weather forecast, courtesy of Weather.com, calls for more rain. Can someone sing, “rain, rain, go away!?” That umbrella and raincoat will certainly come in handy today.

3. The is holding their regular meeting today at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

4. Calling all craft lovers: The Hillside Public Library is having a weekly class called  every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m.  Anyone who loves to knit, crochet, sew, embroider or quilt is invited to join. No cost. Please register by phone or email.
