Patch Celebrates Its Anniversary in New Hyde Park

We look back on a year of headlines.

Patch launched a year ago today in New Hyde Park. Since that first day, we’ve been busy telling the stories of people, events and community services of importance to New Hyde Park residents.  

Some of our initial stories included the account of a World War II veteran remembering the attack on Pearl Harbor, a Chanukah celebration and a lesson on old-fashioned toys. School superintendent Robert Katulak wrote about how learning styles are changing in today’s classrooms.

It has been a very busy year. The effects of the August hailstorm were captured in photos provided by numerous Patch readers showing .
