Jan. 9: Senior Citizen Activities and School Announcements

Good morning! I know, it’s only Monday, but we here at the New Hyde Park Patch hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend and are ready to power through the work week.

Here’s what you need to know today:

1. Holy Spirit Church will be hosting an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meeting from 7:15 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the church cafeteria and auditorium. Bring a family member or friend for support.

2. Cancer survivors can join together in taking a free Zumba fitness class tonight at 7 p.m. in Manhasset.

3. The New Hyde Park Seniors Chorus will be performing at the Clinton G. Martin Park Recreation Center from 12:30-2:30 p.m. The cost is free and all are welcome to watch the show.

4. New Hyde Park seniors are also welcomed to join in Senior Fitness Exercise Classes, which will be held every Monday at 10 a.m. at the Clinton G. Martin Park Recreation Center. You must register in advance by calling (516) 869-6311. You’re never too old to practice fitness!
