Update: Penn Station Access Re-Opened

Metropolitan Transportation Authority police were limiting access to Penn Station because of a disabled train.

The is reporting delays of between 20 and 30 minutes for trains heading into and out of Penn Station because of a disabled train near Penn Station, according to a Metropolitan Transportation Authority email alert.

This disabled train is affecting all branches including service to New Hyde Park, the alert noted.

Update: The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is limiting access to Penn Station to prevent overcrowding, another alert said. "Customers are advised to delay their departure from the City," the alert said.

Second Update: The MTAPD has re-opened Penn Station and the disabled train has been moved, according to an alert sent at 6:21 p.m.
