Nov. 28: Cyber Monday and Sock Drive

Here are some of the events happening around New Hyde Park.

It’s Monday; that means back to the ol’ grind, but hopefully that long Thanksgiving weekend got you energized to power through this week.

Here’s what you need to know today:

1. It’s Cyber Monday. Major online retailers are offering slashed prices and free shipping. Will you take part in the online shopping frenzy? Let us know in our Cyber Monday poll, which will be featured on the site around 9:00 a.m.

3. The  will be collecting socks and personal care items for people in need this holiday season. Receptacles will be placed in a number of Town departments and facilities.
