After serving nearly four years in an Italian prison, a jury cleared Amanda Knox, an American who had been studying abroad, of all charges against her including the murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher.
CNN reports that there were mixed reactions within the courtroom Monday as the jury read their verdict, overturning the prior murder conviction. As the news has spread around the globe, its also evoked cheers and jeers from the public who have followed this story.
