Question of the Day: Obama’s Jobs Proposal

What do you make of this plan?

Last week, President Barack Obama spoke about his plan to revive the economy in a live, televised speech.

He unveiled a $447 billion proposal, the centerpiece being an extension of the payroll-tax cut, valued at $240 billion. The plan could ultimately cut in half the tax paid by employees through 2012, and reduce taxes for small businesses, according to Newsweek. The bill also includes $140 billion for modernizing schools and improving infrastructure.

What do you think of the proposal? What do you like/dislike the most about it? Do you think he touched upon the most important issues? Did he leave anything out?
