Question of the Day: Service Credit

Will you be asking for a credit on your next bill?

There’s a saying that “you get what you pay for.” In the case of many New Hyde Park residents, it seems that what they pay for isn’t what they get.  More than 5,000 North New Hyde Park residents and almost 500 New Hyde Park residents are still without power as of Thursday night.

When products or services aren’t up to snuff, we usually ask for a refund or credit. With power out for several days for these people (and thousands more across the Island), we want to hear your thoughts on getting credit for the lost services.

Will you be asking for credit on your bills for the services which were out during and after the storm? Which companies will you be targeting? Is it just LIPA or do you include service? Phone? Internet? How much will you be asking? Have you tried this route before? Has it worked?
