Snow Road Advisory

The Nassau County police say people should stay off the roads if possible.

Snow that is blowing around is creating dangerous road conditions, according to a note from the Nassau County police.

"Numerous vehicles are stuck or are being abandoned on roads and ramps," the note said. "This situation can impede plowing operations and can potentially delay emergency operations response."

As a result, the police department is strongly advising that only emergency personnel venture out on the roads.
