presented a journey through Clark Botanical Gardens this weekend from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The iron gates were opened to a land of Christmas as parents pushed babies in strollers and held on to their tots hands as they strolled through the scenery.
The garden, usually in full bloom during the warmer months, was instead filled with figurines of snowmen, penguins and nutcrackers.
Children ran around in their puffy coats and hats through a small garden maze and watched as toy trains chugged along an outside track.
Further down the road was an area with a patio and two doors that looked very much like a scene out of a small-town shopping center.
Inside, children could walk around and look at Christmas decorations and create their own gingerbread men cookies out of frosting, froot-loops and chocolate candies, distributed by North Hempstead Town Clerk .
