Beacon's Christmas Fest 2013

Christmas Fest is free and open to anyone in the Long Island area. It will start at 6pm on Dec. 7th in New Hyde Park, Long Island. The Fest will have games, crafts, holiday snacks, a full petting zoo, a photo booth, and more. There will be music and carols by a live band and an interactive show for kids.  The tree (roughly 40 ft tall with about 8,000 lights) lighting begins at 6:15 pm. 

Christmas Fest will be also be a vehicle for charity. Christmas Fest will be collecting donated, filled stockings for Pay It Forward With Jackie to be delivered to children in hospitals or homeless shelters throughout December. Anyone can take stockings to Christmas Fest with the following items:1 Stocking (please no glue or glitter on them). Items to fit in the stocking; 1 pack of 16 crayons or smaller, 1 pack of markers, 1 pack of colored pencils, 1 coloring or activity book, 1 individual , 2 small toys, 1 deck of playing cards, 1 medium sized container of play-doh, Optional: Movie (rated G) or Music CD

There will also be items hand made in Haiti for sale, and all profits will be donated to Praxis to benefit the community of Lavanneau, Haiti.
