Frank Ohman's "The Nutcracker"

Frank Ohman's New York Dance Theatre will present its 31st season of "The Nutcracker" in its entirety at Hofstra University at 12:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 15, 16, 22 (six performances).  Ohman's production is the largest Nutcracker on Long Island with added music, scenes and dances, and is the only one performed in the tradition of New York City Ballet's legendary George Balanchine.  Guest artists DaVon Doane and Jehbreal Jackson of the Dance Theatre of Harlem will join Ohman's troup in a cast of eighty children, semi-professional and professional dancers in bringing this holiday classic to life on the stage of the charming John Cranford Adams Playhouse  The role of the young Prince will be shared by School of American Ballet students Colby Clark and Jeremy Wong, both of whom have performed the role in the Lincoln Center production.  Come experience the magic of this popular story ballet and join the hundreds of Long Island families who have made Ohman's "Nutcracker" a holiday tradition.
