YMCA Family Services Branch Open House

The YMCA of Long Island Family Services Branch is hosting an open house to showcase the various programs and services being offered at the new Holtsville, NY location. The branch recently re-opened its doors after being forced to relocate due to damage to the original facility caused by Superstorm Sandy.

So much more than a gym and swim, attendees will realize the YMCA Family Services offers outpatient substance abuse services, family counseling, free youth counseling and prevention and education programs. The outpatient substance abuse service promotes healthy, sober living through the development of daily skills and many positive support systems. The YMCA offers individual, group and family counseling as well as groups for women, life skills and understanding addiction and relapse prevention. Family and youth counseling provides individual crisis intervention, group and family counseling, anger management, anxiety workshops and life skills. The YMCA Family Services Branch provides prevention and education workshops such as “Too Good for Drugs,” “Too Good for Violence” and anti-bullying workshops, teaching critical ways to stay away from drugs, violence and bullying.

-All attendees will receive door prizes, pens, key chains and lunch will be served. -To register please contact Darleen Smith by calling 631-580-7777 x110 or via e-mail at Darleen.Smith@yamcli.org
