Rep. Carolyn McCarthy is hosting a blood drive on March 21. In a press release about the event, it notes that there is a great need for Type O blood in the area. The Long Island Blood Services will be leading the blood drive, which is being held in the organization’s bus in the parking lot of 400 Garden City Plaza.
