North Shore-LIJ Volunteers Recognized for their Efforts, Dedication

The North Shore-LIJ Health System recently recognized dozens of its volunteers, including those from New Hyde Park. These volunteers work at several hospitals in Queens, Long Island, Staten Island and Manhattan, and were recognized for their service by the United Hospital Fund.

The volunteers were recognized at the 21st annual Hospital Auxilian and Volunteer Achievement Awards ceremony at the Waldorf-Astoria.

“We are so grateful to all of our volunteers for the time they take from their own busy lives to help our staff provide high-quality service to our patients,” said Myra Cohen, director of volunteer services at Franklin Hospital.
